Feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais Method offers a unique and effective way to explore our human movement potential which relates to almost everything we do in our lives. The movements taught help us to improve our flexibility, coordination, our posture and breathing. We can learn to reduce tension and stress and gain a more comfortable sense of ourselves.

The lessons benefit anyone who wishes to improve the way they move in daily life or can be used by people involved in the performance arts, music or sport.

Feldenkrais lessons also help in the recovery process from injuries or operations and are further useful for people with neurological challenges like Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke or Cerebral palsy.

The Feldenkrais Method is taught in group classes, workshops and individual lessons. In a group situation the teacher guides you verbally through a sequence of movements relating to everyday activities. Students learn from their own explorations and discoveries following their sensations of comfort and ease.

An individual lesson is a one to one hands-on approach for people wishing to explore specific themes or when following a class is more difficult because of pain or restricted movement. Here the teacher is guiding students through touch and movement towards an easier and better organised use of themselves. Individual Feldenkrais lessons are suitable for adults and children but also for babies who explerinece developmental delays or neurological challenges.
