In-person yoga and movement inspired by Vanda Scaravelli with a twist of functional movement. Explore light-hearted embodiment.
I’ve practised Scaravelli-inspired yoga since 2004 and am a yoga therapy and functional movement geek. I’m an ex- capoeira and athletics junkie.
Yoga has helped me rehabilitate from pain and injury, juggle a busy family life, thrive in a stressful corporate job and to navigate relationships both with myself and others more compassionately. I’m thrilled to be able to share some yoga and movement practices in community at Unit 4.
I qualified as a yoga teacher with Dot Bowen’s Integrity School of Yoga (2017-2019, 200 hr, Yoga Teacher Development Course), and Heart + Bones Yoga (300 hr, Modern Yoga Certification, Oct-May 2021). I am registered with the Independent Yoga Network and insured by BGi.
My main teachers and influences in yoga are Suzy Greenwood (nee Daw), Dot Bowen, John Stirk and Becky Barkans, all of whom have several decades of teaching experience and are regular practitioners with Diane Long, a long-term student of Vanda Scaravelli’s.
