Yoga has been part of my life since I was 14, and it has helped me cope with many of life’s challenges (physical, emotional and mental). As a teacher, my aim is to empower others to experience these benefits for themselves.
I first qualified as a yoga teacher with the Sivananda Organisation in 1996, and more recently completed the London Yoga Teacher Training Course (a 2-year 500-hour diploma accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga) in 2017.
I have done various styles of yoga in the past, but I now practise and teach a style of hatha yoga influenced by Vanda Scaravelli and by my teacher Peter Blackaby. I love this flexible, eclectic approach to yoga which focuses on the inner experience rather than the outward shape of movements and postures; adapts the practice to the individual; and works with gravity to release unhelpful habits and tensions.
