Kay Sharp

I first qualified as a teacher with the Sivananda Organisation in 1996, but in the following years I moved away from this style of yoga and started studying with Pete Blackaby and other like-minded teachers at Unit 4, eventually retraining on the London Yoga Teacher Training Course (2015-17).

My teaching now is grounded in the LYTTC approach, which is influenced by Vanda Scaravelli and Mary Stewart. This flexible, eclectic approach to yoga focuses on the inner experience rather than the outward shape of postures; adapts the practice to the individual; recognises that body and mind are inseparable; and works with gravity and the breath to release unhelpful tensions.
